
ODFW will try to keep parties together for emergency hunts wherever possible. Hunters may apply singly or in parties of two. Youth 11 and younger may not hunt for big game. Each hunter younger than 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult (21 years or older) when hunting.

Who may applyĪll hunters must have a valid hunting license (see Mentored Youth Hunter Program in the Big Game Regulations for exceptions). Applications received prior to July 1 will only be valid on the current year’s list ending June 30 (for example, if an application was received June 29, 2012, it would be placed on a list that would expire the next day). All other applications received after July 31 will be placed on lists in the order received. After July 31, names will be placed on lists in the order received.
